Summary of our Project

Children face economical problems, family problems (divorced parents, inadequate communication, unemployment) and social problems (low living standards, environment, violence, aggression and discrimination).
Some of these students wander in the streets aimlessly, go to shopping malls, billiard clubs and internet cafes to spend time after or during school hours. They're unaware of their responsibilities such as studying or doing homework. Also, some students leave school early (without completing their obligatory education) as they take a share in the family income. Coming together with the EU Member States' pupils in this project, these children will learn about the prohibition of child labour before the school-leaving age.
Moreover, there are special needs pupils in the partner schools.
Our aim is to make all these children more sociable and school more attractive to them with the help of games, songs, sketches, drama, stories, history, films, ICT, native language and English lessons, art and Maths.
The children who have never gone abroad and can't afford this will have the chance to see different countries with different languages, religions, ethnic groups and cultures. This will also arise their tolerance and respect to other nations.
By actively communicating within the lessons, free-time activities, through emails, video conferences, Skype, ePals, twitter and on school visits, the pupils will improve their language skills, self-esteem, raise their awareness of other cultures and break down barriers between each country. They will not only be able to talk about their own problems but also will be able to understand the others' problems. Also, they will find common and different points of problems in different nations and find the answers for these problems.
